    Just got them as well. Hands down my new favorite looking tire. I think they ride great. They do have a little more road noise than I was expecting. It’s not as loud as a mud terrain but definitely louder than my wife’s Toyo AT3’s

    Any more reviews on these tires? I’m thinking about getting some for my new truck.

    @Ncousins1,

    Great looking truck! The tires make it look ultra rugged. So just a little bit noisier than the Toyo A/T. Well noted, but I think it's worth it.:thumbsup:

    What lift did you add to fit the 285s? Did you do a CMC?

    Westcott Designs. No CMC. doesnt rub around town or when im turned going into parking lots. Im sure stuffing them it would rub. wheels are -25 offset with 3.5 backspacing. a less aggressive offset would fit even better im sure.

    Im waiting to do a CMR instead of starting with a CMC

    thanks for the info! I just ordered a Trd off-road and was thinking of going with the westcott too. How much lift did it give you? And did you add a leaf in the back? Thanks again!

    It was about an inch and a half or so. so about 3 total over a stock non-pro truck. right now im just running the block that westcott provides for the rear. I think I will be eventually upgrading to an AAL or a whole new leaf pack because i'd like to eventually get setup with a decked system

    We’re also running the westcott kit on my wife’s 4Runner with 33in AT3’s and we both love it. Both vehicles are stiffer than the stock setup but that was to be expected. We both love the way they ride

    Recently I found out one of my falken wildpeak at’s were bad and couldn’t be balanced anymore. The tires were about halfway worn so I decided to part ways with them and went with the toyo rt trail. The tire looks amazing. I’ve had them for about 2 weeks now and I have to say I’m a little disappointed. Overall traction seems good, as well as road noise and handling. One thing I just can’t get over is the vibrations this tire is creating. They road force balanced perfect and are causing no balancing type vibration. But at 20mph and 65-70mph it feels like you’re driving on the most aggressive mud tire or even almost rumble strips. It’s very odd. The falkens were as smooth as could be, as they usually are. I assumed the rt’s would be similar. I’ve had MT’s that didn’t cause this much annoyance. I’m Considering seeing if I can return them using Toyo’s 45 day trial. But figured I’d share my experience here for the rest.

    To be fair I haven’t heard of anyone else complaining about it. Maybe they don’t experience it, don’t notice it or don’t care. I was surprised. If I wanted the feeling of driving in an MT then I wouldve bought one. It’s not a dealbreaker on the tires but it is annoying and I’m considering swapping to something else.

    I definitely think they feel closer to an M/T over an A/T, but I don't regret my decision. My week is split between driving my truck 3 days and driving my wifes 4Runner with AT3's 3 days a week (I take her to work the days she works at the hospital). So I am definitely getting a fantastic comparison between the two tires. Hers are smoother and quieter but its not a substaintial enough difference for me to regret getting the R/T Trails. Plus the looks of the R/T Trail MORE than make up for little extra road noise and M/T feel haha. And for what its worth, if it even matters, my 15 mile work commute I'm still averaging 19-19.5mpgs with the R/T Trails and a Westcott lift.

    I have Cooper STT pro’s on my 2016 4runner and I’m getting a new 2023 tacoma off-road. I wanted to go with something a little smoother for the Tacoma since it’s new. That’s why I’m considering the open country RT trails. I had KO’s on the 4Runner when I bought it new and those did pretty good for me, but I wanted to try something different.
