Guys this is a waisted update didn't fix anything other than reset the learning in the transmission. Idk about you guys but I'm about to trade in the taco . I've heard about the lawsuits started I'm just not sure they will even do anything .

Call it whatever you want. Even the service department could not tell the difference . They gave me a customer service number to complain .

Does this apply to any 2018’s? I had a 2017. Long story short, dealer messed up on routine maintenance and I was not happy with what happened. They offered to buy the truck back for a very reasonable offer and sell me a 2018. Had original tsb tranny flash done on the 2017 and it helped.

I'll bet they didn't actually do the reflash as they saids they did. There is a ton of difference in mine. So glad I didn't waste $800 on an OVTune.

I waited for nearly two hours I even walked back there to make sure they was and they had it hooked up but who knows. They have done around 15 trucks they said and its about 50 50 as to whether it made a difference . According to them the update was more for the surging at speed rather than shifting but some saw a improvement which was again according to the tech he figures was from the transmission learning reset with the update . I'm going to try the tune next or the shift pro unless I trade it. Could you tell a good difference between the shift pro or is it similar to having the ect power activated ? I just need it to hold gears longer I live in a rural area and it up shifts way too early.

If you want to know for sure it was installed, have them print out the TechStream info with all the calibration IDs.

I have an '18 & it shifts pretty good. Doesn't hold gear 1-4 very long probably for the "advertised" mpg's. Kinda bugged me when I first got it & started using ECT all the time. Was getting 15-18 mpg's with ECT. Now I have 1900 miles on it & find it drives much better & haven't been using ECT as much. Seeing 18-21 mpg's now. Might stop by my dealer & ask about the TSB & find out what my factory delivered version is & if there's a need for update.
