Get a softopper; keep the hound in back when you need it, then fold it down.

If it were me I’d invest in seat covers and a softopper. You’ll notice how easily your seats will stain if not scotch guarded and a softopper is so practical for one person and a big dog too.

Congrats on the new truck and welcome! I have two big dogs and two toddlers. The kids both have big graco car seats w/ the seat protectors you have but they have a quick disconnect so they are really easy to take out/ put in for me. If the boys(dogs) are coming with me somewhere I usually just pop the kids car seats out and then fold down the back seat with a heavy duty blanket. I agree with what another user said, invest in a soft topper. I think I'll be buying one myself one of these day. Enjoy the truck!

Kurgo car seat cover from Amazon. Screenshot_20190312-075432.jpg. Protects against food and water and keeps fur and claws off the seats. I also have a seat protector under the mat to help with indentations, but they were leftovers I already had and are probably overkill . I have a softopper too that I love . The dogs love it back there too. Screenshot_20190312-075626.jpg

I have a Kurgo too—works perfectly. My particular one is a hammock style, not sure how the car seat attachment would work (though I think there are openings for this and seatbelts?), but it’s sturdy and as a bonus the rough cloth holds onto most of the dirt and dog hair until shaken out.

BTW I can tell you are a real dog lover. You put those nice soft blankets on top of the couch for the dog’s comfort.

    Anyway, enjoy the new truck!

I bought a dog hammock for the backseat. You can also drop one side and put the car seat on it. It will protect your seats from both beasts! This isn't the same one I bought but it's a great example of what to look for.

I got leatherette seat covers from Coverking, front and back row covers and they work like magic. Whether it’s liquid, dirt or my two Huskies, it holds up. They look brand new and I’ve had them for over a year. Also do really well against all the shedding, and my two Huskies shed A LOT. I also have a camper shell with 50/50 sliding windows that is pretty much where they ride most the time.

Your dealer would not give you the previous owners information?

That would probably violate a lot of privacy info / laws or agreements.

Well, I usually look in the owners manual pack and they typically leave an insurance card or registration. My dealer actually asks the previous owner if they mind me contacting them and if they give consent, then you are set.

I would bet the owner decided on bigger truck or many change their mind and go a different route. At 10k miles it is a brand new truck and you have lots of miles of warranty.. Congrats on the truck it is beautiful
