I hit 10K+1 miles today...dirty screen and all!

 

Inspecting my "undercarriage" today! lol

Recent event/thread on TW got me to inspect my oil pan & filter housing.

Other than residual oil on the housing, looks good!

 

Oh, forgot to mention...I tried to use a vise-grip on this stripped hex bolt but can't get it off. It's the one on the right.

Suggestions?

 

Installed this guy today!

I got it from TRDShop.com. Ordered on April 6 and arrived today. I called for status update yesterday and they FEDEX overnighted it.

 

I cancelled my Toyota Connected Services Today...one day before my 1-year anniversary.

Ordered interior LED lights and installed today. What a difference!

It's a London Fog morning here in Dover, Delaware. (That's just a weather expression I like for any fog forecast we get here in the US)

I've been home w/Covid since Tues this week, so my activity was higher than usual. I'm feeling better & my symptoms have subsided. Back to work on Mon.

But today, is my 1-year anniversary since I drove my Sport home!

This is my mini jump to express, "Oh what a feeling" after purchasing a Toyota--My first NEW TRUCK.

I did some MX on my riding mower...Husqvarna 42". Oil change, replace Fuel & Air Filter.

I can't believe this exact model is selling for $2099 today. I paid $1399 (5) years ago for my 6-yr Military Anniversary retirement. Got the Lowe's 10% military discount so it was $1259.

 

Just a quick note, my truck is being used today to help my eldest daughter move from one apartment to another.

I stayed home since I tested positive last week Tuesday for Covid.

Wife, Youngest Daughter, and Son-in-law took my truck for this task.

NOTE: SIL is driving

This load put some weight on the bed. I'm putting top soil in certain parts of my yard.

Each bag is about 20lbs X 16 = 320lbs.

**Thank God I was only driving 1.5 miles up the road!!!***

Some photos of the engine bay...one in particular focusing on the ABS Module. I thought I couldn't install a compressor but somehow, there's a bracket that allows a compressor to fit above the ABS.

Had my 15K mile Toyota Care Service today. (12,264 miles) All good!

Cabin Air Filter was in the yellow but should be changed out as part of the ToyotaCare in December for 20K Service.

The Service Advisor was very attentive to my expectations. She made sure the wheel lock key was returned to the center console. She even walked me to my car and we had a nice discussion about the great service I have received at the Dover, DE Toyota C.F. Schwartz location.

Finally installed my EmpyeOffRoad grill...I need to wash my truck!

I took it for a TSS test drive and ALL IS GOOD!

I even tested the LDA (Lane Departure Alert) and tested left & right positions--ALL GOOD!

 

Got a random message on my dashboard this evening:

"Front Camera Unavailable"

It cleared itself out after less than 5 seconds.

I tested my Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) as well as Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and both worked fine.

My Sport does not have a front camera but I'm thinking it may be the unit on the windshield/rearview mirror.

EDIT: there is a high resolution camera in the windshield...at :37 seconds
