    Using this as a bad example. You see the letters "cw"? those are your counterweights. The 1st generation of the 1grfe has 9 of those. The 2nd generation with the dual vvti has 5 of those. And what counter weights do is they balance the crankshaft in relation to the connection rods and pistons and other rotating assemblies, including the crankshaft itself.

    Aaaahh. kk I gotcha now. I knew what the counterweights/ journal bearings were I'd just never heard of the term "5 counterweight crankshaft". Good thing you explained it cause I was thinking like "5 grams per counterweight?"

    Now that the differences have been pointed out I'm glad I still have the single vvti 1gr haha. I mean the design looks a lil better IMO because the SC takes in the air towards the front of the truck instead of looping to the back.
    Edit: forgot to mention the 3 lobe vs 4 lobed tvs. ooo-ahhhh
