you can't buy the black. they aren't for sale unless you own an FJ. It's on another thread.

I'm not sure that I like the black better than the bronze. I'm pretty sure I will be picking up a set of the bronze wheels, and if I don't like them, I'll send them to my powder coating guy, and have them shot with an identical powder coat. I highly doubt anyone would ever be able to tell the difference no matter how hard they look, especially with the quality of his work. There is also the possibility of having them anodized if the finish doesn't come out as desired.

^ how much does your guy charge for powdercoat? im also thinking of picking up a set of the bronze, and will coat w/ the anticratic (sp?) gray if i dont like them... just want to get an idea of the price per wheel.

I've noticed that price can vary quite a bit from one company to another, but I found a guy here in town that does good work for a reasonable price, so I usually stick with him unless its a full chassis that I need powder coated. Wheels usually end up being about 50-80 a piece depending on the intricacy of the wheel.

Those bronze suckers would look extra sharp on a black Tacoma! I like.

Does anyone know the part # for the black version? I can't seem to find it. Also, I thought I read that there was a specific FJ and Tacoma version of these wheels. Can anyone confirm? I am close to buying a set.

And those were originally bronze anyways. They are powdered matte black. You can buy the bronze on Ebay for $1000 shipped, then have them powdercoated at a local place for $300......and save $1000

That's what I'm seeing. A bronze set can be had for about $800-850 right now. I just bought a silver taco and I'm trying to envision if bronze would look good with silver. Anyone have a pic of bronze wheels on a silver truck?

but remember you still need the $125 lugnut set to install them, plus tax, if it applies in your state. here in cali, its like 10%!!

take a good side profile shot of your truck, and then ask someone nicely over on toyotanation, they have a dedicated thread for it! i posted a few days ago and am waiting for it to come back for my white/bronze setup!

I have seen these on a Tundra. They are really nice. Had to get a closer look at them. Would think about getting them but I am not in the market for new wheels right now. Too broke!

bronze if available right now, supposedly black is on national stop sale, so the only way you are going to get a black set is to: 1) pay $2175 on egay for a set, 2) be lucky and find a takeoff set, 3) powdercoat them yourself, 4) find a parts guy that has hookups, or 5) buy a TT FJ, swap out the wheels, then turn around and sell the TT FJ!!
