if it’s outside could it be a oil pan heater or block heater maybe trans heater? since you are in canada.

edit: i don’t see a plug by the fog light outside in the pic you have. if you can take one of just the plug I’m sure someone on here will know what it is for. but i’d think it maybe some kinda heater, most have plugs some where on the front gill/bumper for those really cold nights.

Thanks TnRed. its difficult to see but is there. It looks like a trailer plug in with a little spring loaded cover. It could be block heater and have heard somewhere once something regarding that.

yeah i zoomed in and can see it now. block plastic around black plug kinda hides it. My guess since you in canada it is some kinda heater. May ask the dealer you got the truck from.

I’m just guessing at that because i don’t know what els it could be, and thats probably the most likely with your location. I have family in WNY close to niagara falls and have seen heaters a few times, mostly just oil pan heaters around there. Have not seen a plug like that one but that’s not saying much since i have not seen many and idk how many brands there are.

It's the plug for your block heater. You should have an adapter to attach that plug to an extension cord. If u bought new, check the glovebox. Oh Canada!
