    FINALLY!

My new to me 2008 Access Cab 4x4 with the SR5 package and the 2.7... Yes ive been a member for a while but ive never been able to intro with anything.

    Now for a couple questions...
    1) What the hell is this above my tailpipe? Initially i was thinking oil burning, but at only 77k thats not too likely i dont think plus it wouldnt be streaky, it would be kind of feathered out from one spot. Plus it would be a little bit behind the tailpipe, not in front...i think:confused:. I tried washing it today and rubbed the piss out of it with a microfiber cloth and got nowhere. I did check the oil and its a brand new change from the dealership so i cant tell if it was low.

    2) Anybody got any front mudflaps they want rid of?

Glad to finally be part of the crowd!

Nice Truck!!! It could have been running rich or something and previous owner never cleaned that spot. Use a good cleaner wax, see what happens. Good Luck with truck.

Welcome from GA. Most people get rid of the front flaps or either cut them down. So you might catch some from some one on here. Plan to cut mine down.

Don't know about the oil or whatever it is. As said above, try some bug and tar remover, goo gone or maybe even wd-40 and once it's off, then see if it comes back and go from there is what I'd probably do.

    Good luck!

Welcome to TW from AZ! Try using a Clay-Bar on the paint above the exhaust pipe....it takes off a boat load of stuff otherwise untouched by other products
