    Hey y'all,

I'm buying a 2010 Tacoma PreRunner tomorrow and thought I'd join here to find out what I need to know about the new truck. Its a silver streak mica double cab with the TRD Off-Road package. It will be a daily driver and should come in handy in weekend excursions to the lake, mountains or woods.

Anyway, is there anything I should specifically look out for with the truck? Anything that has to be done immediately. Basically, I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations from people who know what the hell they are talking about as this will be my first truck.

    Thanks

Welcome! There's really nothing that needs to be done right away to the truck. The Tacoma is a great truck! The only thing is things slide easily in the bed and gas mileage is pretty much spot on. Personally I'd get the 4wd version because its only 1 mpg difference in gas mileage that way you had it if you needed it, but its whatever you want. The off road is a good package and has a rear locker and A-TRAC. Lifting a few inches always looks good too! Again welcome to the group and I hope you love your truck as much as I love mine!
