yeah when they gave it to me the first few times they didn't dilute it very much or maybe it was just because I wasn't used to anything besides motrin but yeah it was a pretty great feeling.

Slowly building and modifying. I'm Cheap, So I Build.
Wow, just from the initial size up of your truck, I would have that there would have been a casualty. I have seen some bad injuries from small wreck and small injuries from total losses. Great to hear your injuries were pretty minimal though.
You stepped into the truck that I am drooling over, congrats to that. Hope it serves you well. Ready to see the build thread. :mudding:

Tried kicking out the driver door because it was stuck. Ended up crawling over to the passenger side and opening the door and getting out lol.

No one is a bigger shyster than the insurance companies themselves.

Did they give you the proper book value for the truck? The truck was what, 6 years old at the time?

Yeah sorry I miss quoted at the beginning of the article, I had a 2007 not a 2008. Still they only gave me 16k for it I think. It was the TRD off road with 80k JBL and all...it may have been the right price at the time but I still owed some on it and I just couldn't afford to buy another one at the time after the payoff. I got a really really good deal on the Mazda so I went with it but I kept looking into the Tacos. Also the dealership here in town was not willing to move on their prices so I walked out twice and then a third time last week. I ended up driving to the other side of SD to pick my new one up from a dealership out in Souix Falls, they were good people and offered me the right price so I went with it.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau investigates tens of thousands of people ever year for insurance fraud. You may want to rethink your statement.

Thanks man and yeah after a few hours in the hospital and seeing the pictures I realized how lucky I was to still be around. I am thinking about throwing a remote start on it to begin with, it's super cold out here in SD this time of year. Went looking through my odds and ends box and found a remote start and PKALL just need to find the harness for the bypass. After that I have a NICE set of JL speakers that are going to go in it sometime this year after I find a descent 4 channel amp and then wheels and tires...we will see how the wife responds after that and move from there lol.

Yes, there is plenty of fraud everywhere. Insurance, welfare, disability,etc....
The problem with insurance companies is take, take take.. The northeast had a bad winter last year, plenty of homeowner claims. They refuse to have a marginal year, so they hike everyone's premiums to make up for the payouts. What about the good years when they don't payout so much? They still hike the rates.
Massachusetts is going through this right now. They're trying to hike the rates up to 10% after a 9% hike last year. They also want to raise the minimum deductible to $500 from $250. So, no, I don't think I need to rethink my statement. Massachusetts is the worst for insurance. I pay $1100 a year for a 2008 Taco SR5 with a perfect driving record. $1400 for a 2014 volvo S60. My younger daughter had a few fender benders a few years ago.. she'll be paying for those fender benders for 7 years to the tune of $4100 annual premium for a 2004 Mazda 6.

Don't get me started on insurance companies.

You're one of those guys who thinks that paying in premiums every year without filing claims gives you carte blanche to collect for fraudulent claims because insurance companies "owe you". Well, you pay for peace of mind when you pay your rates, you're not paying for future claims. When you understand the principles of insurance, maybe you'll understand why you pay rates and your rates may go up sometimes when you haven't presented a claim for quite a while. Until then, there's no debating you because your perception of insurance is skewed.

I understand there's a certain percentage of people out there like you who just hate insurance companies but most people are reasonable and understand how it works. Funny thing is, most of the haters are haters because they were found at fault for an accident and didn't agree with it, no matter how ridiculous their argument or they don't like the rates they pay because they are young drivers, have a bad record, live in an area that is more expensive, drive a vehicle that's expensive to insure, etc.

Shop around for a better rate. If no insurance company can give you one, you really think the issue is with the insurance company ??

So keep your sour grapes, fine by me.

You, being in the industry I wouldn't expect to hear anything different but to defend the insurance cartels.
We need more regulation of insurance industry practices. Insurance company's in MA get fined all the time for their shenanigans.

You know nothing about insurance, it's very clear. Insurance is very regulated at the State level... more regulation would only drive up your rates more and then you'd bitch more. No winning with clowns like you.

Ps. I don't handle claims in MA nor do I work for every insurance company so I can't speak about any fines to insurance companies in Mass. Unlike you, I don't like to talk about things if I'm not informed on them. And by the way, fines can be for very minor infractions such as forgetting to send out a status letter.

Thank god they're regulated. They get fined left and right her in MA for hokie unethical practices.
What's your point with the pictures? So you can say, "You can't be hurt, your vehicle has to look like this to be hurt!"
Talk about clown. Look in the mirror.
