What makes you an expert on how many and why fines are being handed out ? You work for the Mass Insurance Dept ?

Of course photos are an indication of how badly someone is injured. If you think otherwise, it just shows how slanted your opinions are.

I don't have to work for the MA insrance dept to find out. It's all public record.

Not necessarily. I know a person who was side swiped. Moderate damage to the vehicle, but sustained a slight tear to an artery in the neck that wasn't detected until a few weeks later? What makes you an expert on the physics of how the human body may react to any type of impact impact? Does a physics and medical degree come with that adjuster card you carry? It's people like you that give insurance a bad name. I'm done with this conversation.

You're talking about a VERY rare exception and that is an objective injury. 99.9 percent of the claims I handle for injuries are for subjective injures... my back hurts, my neck hurts, etc. And I've been trained and have been doing my job for 10 years. I have reviewed miles and miles of medical reports. You really think you know more about insurance and injury claims than I do? Like I said, you're a hater. I'll leave you to argue with yourself so as not to botch up the OPs thread any more. Have a good day.

And while you're ranting more, tell me just how *I* give insurance a bad name. Because you don't like my opinions ? hahahaha

I never said I know more than you.. I'm sure I don't, that's your profession. Just like I'm sure you don't know as about software as I do being a software engineer.

My point was that you can't always tell the extent of an injury based on the condition of a vehicle or the $$ amount of damage to the vehicle. You don't need to be in the industry to know that. It's common sense.

Just the fact that you think you determine injury based on a photo of the wreck, says a lot. You work to keep the claims down, i get it.

And btw, yes I do believe that if you haven't had claims for several years you should be rewarded with lower premiums or at least around the same. Not 9/10% hikes every year.

Just for the record, you're making assumptions. Vehicle damages are just part of my injury evaluations. I rely on medical reports, xray and radiological exam results, I look at a person's age, height/weight ratio, the venue for any ensuing lawsuit, their prior claim history, and other factors. The vehicle photos are just one part of the evaluation process.

Welcome back and congrats on being healthy and the new ride!

I've gotta say (even understand rolling 5x) that crushed cab is scary as shit.

I've seen vehicle damaged far less with worse injury to the passengers....

Ya I think that was more luck than testament to the safety of the truck. The roof is flat and the entire body is heavily slanted. Glad you made it out OP, sometimes luck is just on your side. How many times do you hear of someone rolling a truck and being ejected and walking away where others aren't so lucky? Just luck of the draw, that looks bad...
