I just bought a new 2008 double cab 4x4 tacoma, it's suppose to arrive in two weeks. Previous rig was a 89' toyota pickup that I had for 9 years. I'm really excited about this new truck. When it comes in I'd like to lift it 3 inches and put some larger tires on and 17" or 18" chrome wheels. I think I have my wheels picked out, the ultra type 243's. I want to put 33" tires on but am not sure if they will fit. Never done this kinda thing before. Anyone do this same mod to their rig? Any other tire combos that will work that will come close to what I want. Anyone have any pics of a rig that has a similar mod to it so I have an idea of how mine would sit?

    Thanks

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
33's will fit after a 3" lift, depending on width. if u go 285 or over i think, u'd need a spacer. others have 285's on and said the got some minor rubbing on full turns. just something to check further into. someone else on here should speak up.
