Color me stunned the tsb repair didn't work on your truck. And it's even louder.
    Stunned. Stunned I say.

Ok, well according to your logic its just a " noise". So why the cynical attitude?

    "Noise" lol.

Because it's a fucking noise. It's a noise my truck didn't make until 16k miles or so. It's a noise the factory has issued a tsb for. It a noise I can get the factory to address as opposed to me paying for it to be repaired.

Not one time have I ever mentioned being happy about it.

As for your comment about your buy back, trust me when I say tell you this: I and lots of other people were pulling as hard as you were for it.

I had the TSB applied to my 2016 DCLB (super-long/frame-box unicorn) today . My noise was not real loud before the TSB but annoying . Super long box gets no new springs from the TSB but the noise is all but gone . It used to be from 50 to 60 mph , now barely there and only from 55 to 57 mph. I really have to try to hear it so I am happy . My springs are now and were flat with a fiberglass topper and sumo springs, and I was hoping for an upgrade to new springs , but I guess this is normal . But so was the howling noise until they came up with this TSB so will keep watching for news . Hope the almost quiet stays this way . :fingerscrossed: Anyway to all that are wondering if it is worth doing , do it. !

Glad it turned out acceptable for you. I will be taking my short bed in next Monday. Second trip in for the T-SB as the dealer screwed up the parts order on the first try and did not catch the error until the tech had it in the bay. Hoping they actually have all the parts per the T-SB, including rear leaf springs.

Meh. Mine whined when completely stock. Now between the damn squeaking leaf springs and the howl from the tires I hear not a whine.

I guess longbeds have more success than those with shortbeds . Mines been howling free since the tsb.

Thats kind of what it seems like at least here on tacomaworld. Now Toyota just needs to extend the TSB to the rest of us ha

Long bed here. Had the TSB, including leafs and mine still has a noticeable howl.

Half as bad though so that’s something.

My 2017 has been in the shop for 8 days now for what I call a squeaking in the rear end when the suspension flexes, it was in the shop for one day the first time and they replaced the silencer pads due to this TSB when I got the truck back withing 24 hours it was doing it again and has now been back in the shop for 8 days. They have opened a case with Toyota and was told by the service advisor that they were instructed to change the pads again and also change any bushings. She called me last night and said its still making noises so Toyota told them to take a new truck off the lot and just start switching parts....... 2017 TRD Off-Road 22K miles.

Yea the service manager suggested getting a Tundra, he said they have been having a lot of issues with this truck and is putting a bad taste in a lot of customers mouths.

I'll give my service guy the benefit of the doubt, he told me they forgot to order some parts and were going to have them shipped in this afternoon and try to get it wrapped up still today.

This whole process is so disheartening.

Hmm I wonder if it’s the thin rubber strips (pad pillar) they forgot to order. Those were the only TSB items available at my local dealer.
