@1997tacomav6 got that, but I would like to measure my snout to see if it's the one that can fit the 60mm pulley or is there anyway else too know. So I don't buy the pulley at some point too relize it won't fit.

Umm, so which snout do you have? Do you have the one with the extra/large support fins or no? Beefier snout can use the 65mm pulley. The less beefier snout can go to the smaller 60mm pulley for more boost. @1997tacomav6 was pretty clear with his answer IMO.

@Althornes post a photo of your snout

@SUMOTNK gotcha! Didn't notice the difference in fin size in his pictures. Apologies dude, just assumed the shaft that the pulley bolted up too would be the main difference. Guess I didn't pay enough attention!

If you have the fab skills and time, turbo no doubt. This new S/C is legit af compared to old, and also nothing will match turbo. I've ran both and I will always choose a turbo set up 10 times out of 10. But for those that want a bolt on mod (not including the badass Haltech fuel mods John is running), this new S/C is the shit.

For most of us turbo is not an option because of emissions and removal of the turbo for emissions and reinstalling it every two years is too much, but yes turbo is the power way.
The new 1320 a huge difference in technology over the 25 year old design.
    30 percent larger rotors,
    4 lobes instead of 3,
160 degrees rotor twist instead of 60 degrees,
    20k bearings instead of 15k.

This is the snout with the fins the 1st style that can only go to 65mm.
The housing section is larger than the pulley hub as shown so the pulley can not slide over this section limiting it to 65mm.
The newer snout has this section smaller

I got my supercharger before the production of these were made from magnuson to test it at 6000 feet.
Magnuson made a handful that were used for testing and I got one.
My results of the lack of boost at 6-12k elevation with the 1st type snout gave them the information they needed to revise the snout, So I had the 1st snout and was sent the 2nd snout to testing.

The 60mm boost gains over the 65mm were 1.7 pounds at 7.2 pounds at 6000 feet, 304HP-326TQ The 65mm was at 5.5 pounds at 6000 feet, 298HP-314TQ BUT My biggest surprise was that the boost at higher elevations from my 6k feet going up to 8k feet, 10k feet, 12k feet were actually a lot more power because the boost cap has been moved higher from 5 pounds to 7 pounds for my situation. What does these mean? Stock pulley 75mm pulley at 6000 feet is 1.5 pounds :( The 65mm pulley at 6000 feet is 5.5 pounds and at 8500 feet is around 3.5 pounds. The 60mm pulley at 6000 feet is 7 pounds :) and at 8500 feet it’s at 5 pounds of boost. The lower boost numbers 1-4 are more efficient than the higher boost numbers I’m thinking because more heat being generated at higher supercharged speeds. So there is a big difference in useable power per boost the higher you go with the 60mm pulley. Definitely a pulley to get especially if you’re running at higher elevations. Higher elevation will show greater gains because more boost is available sooner.

Good point about emissions. I always forget about that since it's not an issue where I live.

    Hi John,

I placed an order for a new 1320 S/C a few weeks ago. After I saw your update, I contacted Magnuson to confirm the S/C that I ordered will have the new snout designed for a 60 mm pulley.

So far, this is what I'm being told. Now, I'm not sure if the S/C I ordered will come with the new snout or not:

    Hello,

If there is a custom 60mm pulley that you can fit, then maybe there is one that can. We do not sell a 60mm pulley that will fit. Our pulley design the smallest that will fit is a 65mm. All current blowers with have the snout that can fit this size.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Magnuson Superchargers.

From what I have heard from engineering, they can not make clearance to fit a 60mm pulley.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

I recently placed an order for a new 1320 S/C. I understand that Magnuson has made a modification to the snout for the 3.4L Toyota application and where a pulley diameter down to 60 mm can be used if desired.

Can you please confirm that I will receive this updated snout on my new S/C?

    Many Thanks,

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Magnuson Superchargers.

Back in October we did make a change that would offer extra clearance for the pulley size. The engineering team said that it would now accept 65mm pulleys. If a 65mm pulley was fit before, it was a pulley from an aftermarket company. Here are the exact words that were sent to me.

"Extra pulley clearance down to 65mm. We will eventually have some 65mm and 70mm pulleys on the shelf for folks. We didn’t see enough room in the design to fit a 60mm."

    Thank you,

    Hi again David,

Sorry to keep bugging you on this subject, but from what I’ve read, the first design of your latest 1320 S/C would already take a pulley down to 65 mm.

Can you please confirm or deny that there has been a snout change on the 1320 S/C with smaller fins to accept smaller OD pulleys? From your replies so far, it sounds like there has been no changes made to the S/C design.

    Thanks to let me know,

If you read @1997tacomav6 post, the larger snout was a pre-production snout. All final production units should have the revised, smaller, snout.

send them a photo of both snouts and the snout u want.
These sales guys probably don't even know there were 2 types or what your talking about.
Just ask them what snout will it come with as you see two different versions Being sold.
99 percent it will be the newer version.
Magnuson sales guys probably doesn’t even know there is a 60mm available that will fit the new snout type.
They don’t follow aftermarket suff just like the old supercharger I had a custom 1.9 pulley made. They would not know or care

Thanks for the advice and help.

David did say that he spoke with "Engineering" and he quoted what they told him...albeit still not crystal clear about "pre-production" and "production" S/C versions.

I did ask him to send me a photo of the S/C I would receive so I would know for sure. Here is his reply:

    Hello,

We will not have production units to take a picture of for a week or two. All of our units have been sent out with the updated snout since October.

    Thank you,
    David Schwartz

I won't belabor the point any further with Magnuson.

    Thanks again,

If it helps, I ordered mine in mid-September and received it a couple weeks ago and it had the new, smaller snout

Almost there! Just booked my tune with Gabe for next week!

1320, 750 haltech ecu, 650cc injectors, 65mm pully, 220 DW fuel pump, 1 full tank of that premium go juice.

Thank you to 1997 and Gabe for the advice when putting my Christmas list together!

Looks fantastic! It’s going to be a game changer and especially with 5 speed and short shifter!
    No 60mm pulley?
Tune it once the 1st time with the 60mm,
I had to retune mine with the 60mm , was pinging from to much timing with the added boost
