Just went to grease all the u-joints on my driveshaft and could only find 1 on the front most u-joint on my front driveshaft. My truck had the frame recall done February 2018, I am wondering if the new u-joints they used do not have zerks, or I am just missing something?

Front most driveshaft u-joint, only one serviceable.

Was the u-joint replaced during the frame recall or before? That first picture looks like the pin isn't fully seated. Might want to fit a socket in the hole and tap lightly with a hammer.

The u-joints were replaced with the recall. To quote the service dealer "ZH6-FRAME INSPECTION+REPLACE FRAME AND INSTALL BODY PLUGS, ZH2-REPLACE 3 UNIVERSAL JOINTS FOR 4WD".

Good eye. I agree. But to your point @glockner, I have been seeing this more and more. I figure its parts manufacturers figuring out 99% of people never grease them, so why machine a hole in it?

Looks like they may have just gone with the spicer non-greaseable u-joint. Thanks for the quick responses! I'll check out that pin as well.
