New upgraded Diamondback hinges installed...

As i have a black Mdl D-back and one of my hinge pins was bent I decided to get a new set of the just released/approved black retrofit hinges. They had a black set for use recently but a number of powdercoat issues with them so requested I wait until thay were happy with the new model.
They were 40.00 plus about 7.00 for shipping. Install was some work but straight forward. Just make sure the guide is followed as new holes have to be drilled.
They look much better than previous model and the panels are a little tighter to the center rib.
If all is well on your current cover I would offer it is not a must have.

 

I just did my rear hinges this evening, and had to read the instructions a coupe of to make I was reading the drill part right. The new hinges, along with the black bolts on the tie downs, give it a much cleaner look.

 

Does the new diamond back come with the new hinges standard now?

 

Not sure on that one.
If not, the upgrade was less than $100. That included black bolts for tie downs, black hinges, and new locking bars.
