    Hi all,
I am a recent owner of a 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport in cement. I have a few questions. First, the running boards are 19 inches off the ground. Has this truck been lifted? While this height is not bad for me, its not ideal for my family, including my 90 year old Father who will be visiting in February. Are there any step kits made that would attach to the running board to make getting in easier? I don't plan to go off road. Well, that's the only question I can think of right now.
    Thanks

Post a picture of the truck. The 19-inch measurement doesn't mean much as there are a ton of different side steps for these trucks.

Thank you for not saying “new to me” .
If you can provide a picture that could help us answer your question. Also either way i wouldnt let my 90 year old grandpa get out without assistance in any car . I wouldnt want to be the one responsible to send him to the hospital

height by most is measure from center of wheel to top of wheel well,,, but 19" at running board sounds kind of high. Of course there are all kinds of running boards out there too.
As mentioned, take pics of suspension and overall truck, next to something to scale.

The Tacoma is going to be difficult for an old person to enter. The seat seems low compared to the door opening. The floor is too high. Grabbing the grab handle will be a must. My stock 2016 Sport has the stock tube type steps. They are 17 inches at the top. I always thought that something like AMP power drop down steps might help but I don't know. You might be able to make 2 foot by 2 foot temporary steps you could put on the ground out of plywood and 2x6 boards.

    I'm lifted 2" + 1" with taller tires, and I'm 18" off the ground.

I used one of these to get my elderly mother in and out of my Tacoma. She had to wait for me to get the step stool ready and help her because I did not want her to try to get in and out herself.
