    I just got the 5100's in and before I take apart the front end I was hoping someone could lend a clue this way...

    The stamped steel, black spring base can be installed both ways cone facing upwards or down...

    I am leaning towards option 2 but damn if I want to make that assumption and end up with the entire assembly wrong.
