    Just ran across this thread. Very nice. But to offer a bit of advice, think about changing your market stratagy. It is nearly impossible to syphon gas from our Toyota trucks, even the first gens. Think about adding to your sales pitch that this feature would be better to keep someone from putting something besides gasoline into your tank. Maybe you did meantion it and I missed it.

    The gadget head in me loves this, but I would have no use because I know gas can't be removed by syphoning. Thieves are more likely to drill your tank and drain the gas into a wide pan.

    Again, cool feature.

    For what it's worth, the little anti-siphon flapper in the gas filler neck was one of the few things that has broken without provocation...and it's the best thing to happen to it! If you can figure out how to break that little sucker off, do it asap. This "mod" lets me fill the tank about 50% faster and get in about 20% more gas before it starts barfing gas all over.

    The clamp on the stainless exhaust tip also (broke?) fell off, but a muffler clamp from the local auto parts store fixed that way better than the stock part. I think it is a 2.5" clamp, but could be wrong. It was a long time ago. I probably double nutted both ends of the U-bolt. Maybe Loc-Tite and elastic lock nuts, too. It's how I roll...

    The only things that really have annoyed me are the outside thermometer in the mirror quit ($280?) and I've had to replace 2 or 3 of the mud flaps... both front and rear ones. One must be careful with those, as they are too brittle and far too close to $100. :tumbleweed:

    :confused::confused:

    If you're pushing in 20% more gas, you're going to be flooding your charcoal canister. $300+ to replace it when you get a CEL.

    Never had a CEL yet, except for when the tech forgot to reset the computer after normal service, with 93k on the clock.

    The problem I had was that the filler nozzle would start clicking off with the tank less than half full and getting more gas in was painfully slow. I never used anything but the slowest setting on the nozzle, either. Maybe the filler or venting has been improved since my '06 was built? But for my '06, losing the flapper down into the tank was a big improvement. I normally let the nozzle run, shutoff automatically, and maybe round it off to the next dollar. Which isn't much, if you haven't noticed. :censored:

    Sure does look clean with the button on the inside, almost like it was suppose to be there!

    I'd be interested also

    Hi Eric,

    I just received my fuel door lock today. Thanks for shipping it to Canada for me. I probably won't install it until the weather gets a bit warmer. This winter has been crazy cold here. Nice job on the lock. It looks really well built. I'll let you know how the install goes once I get around to it. By the way it looks, I think it'll work great.

    Thanks!

    Good to hear. Glad you like it. Good luck with the install and let me know if you need any help.
