What’s the wait time for the master key? I bought and paid for this on Tuesday, and I haven’t received the master key ... ‍♂️

Have you downloaded and installed the vftune software and drivers?
If yes, have you got your ecu ID and sent it back with your master key?
If yes about 1-2 business days.

I am sorry, but I cannot help there as I got mine at the launch. Be sure to check your SPAM folder as there have been some Gmail issues lately.

Sorry, but the Master Key comes automatically based on paying for the vF order. The REG file is the one that comes after the System ID is sent in. No need to wait on that as it pops up on the non-licensed side of the vF / FM Flash Tool.

I know what has more power and torque than a 3.5L tacoma. This thing.

They really must have tuned down the stock 3.5L tacoma for gas mileage.

Down the rabbit hole I go... I think this is the right list for ECU and TCU? Credits for TCU ID as a separate unit. Ordered the Tactrix cable separately already. I have a trip coming up in 16 days - definitely wanting this in before a longer drive so I can put it through its paces.

You dont need to buy the credits. vF comes with 4 credits to unlock an ECU. You only need to buy credits if you wish to unlock additional ones.

Edit: oh you said TCU. I dont think TCU has been added in vF yet. Personally I’d start out with what’s in the base ECU file before worrying about modifying anything in the TCU

I thought I read somewhere on the forums here that the TCU was ready or about ready. We shall see.

The TCU add-in is coming and will be above and beyond what is currently in vF. Only grab it if you need to.

Does VF include the tactrix cable now?

VFTune said they would refund my credits - I don't need them. The TCU flash is not generally available yet (basically, what @tonered said).

Installed TechStream, entered the generated key. Went to run TechStream, which required a Java install. No problem. Installed Java. Went to run TechStream, runs ok. Plugged in my Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable, put the truck into accessory mode (two presses of the PTS button, no foot on brake). Truck is on but not running. Click the Connect to Vehicle button in the top left corner of TechStream. Get error message:

    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_ec8.jpg

Ordered VFTune Monday, no email updates yet as of this post with a serial number. I can run the Toyota Flash Manager app, but I don't know my ECU ID (techstream error) and I don't have access to any tune files yet since I haven't heard back from VFTune with a serial number.

I'll update as I go. Stay tuned! Haha, see what I did there?

You need the tactrix drivers if you haven’t already done so. Also step 27

I had the same problem. In addition to the drivers, I think I remember I had to tell Techstream to use Tactrix.
