I’m still waiting for the tune pack to be available for the 2021 ecu

 

Can someone please explain the correlation between the tuning packs (ie: stock, performance) and fuel grade?

Do you need to run certain grade fuels after applying a tune and is it problematic if you don’t do this?

 

The only correlation is the starting point for the ignition timing and valve timing. The tunes are octane learning using the knock sensors in the valley of the engine. Pre-detonation (knock) is very bad for an engine. But if you have to run lower grade fuel,do it, just don’t lug it in high gears.
