Cool. Now take it for a dyno test for the rest of us. Of course, we need a before and after result. Like you said, maybe it will sound better after a bit of break in.

The Magnaflow was about a foot short on each of the two factory attach points. I thought they sent me a short bed unit. Looked it up online and all three trucks (access cab, DBSB, and DBLB) have the same part number. There was a note that I saw for the first time that said not for use with X-Runner or TRD models. (???) Figured it was mine at that point unless I wanted to incur some re-stocking fee. What I ended up doing was using the factory pipe from the cat back to the muffler. I cut it off the factory muffler and then welded it onto the Magnaflow. The turndown tip hanger points with the Magnaflow matched perfectly then.

I had a Magnaflow and a turn down installed on my last truck...It cost me $90 at the local muffler shop. There's no way I would pay $200 for this kit.

It's nice, but I don't see the sense in buying it. There's nothing to it. A muffler and a turn down?

I'm not sure what size the Banks was. It was the "Monster" exhaust and it rattled like hell. Called Banks about it, said they wouldn't warranty it because I wasn't original purchaser. Happy they wouldn't cause it doesn't come close to this Magnaflow.
For the TRD question, mine is a TRD Sport and we didn't have to modify anything to get it to fit.

I think Magnaflow puts a bit more R&D than a random muffler shop bro.

My guess is that you lost a little with the banks "monster" exhaust iirc that is a 3" exhaust which is a bit to big for our trucks n/a and then gained it back with the magnaflow

I think the long bed has something to do with it. Maybe a typo on the website, I couldn't understand why it would not be compatible with a TRD model either.

You have a nice exhaust system, but I doubt Magnaflow spent too many days R&Ding a single muffler/turn down combo. It doesn't get anymore simple than that.

I like the setup (that's why I had it on my last truck).

I had one on my 10 PreRunner for about three months, but had to take it off. It was just too loud on the highway. I thought it would have a deeper, more throaty sound, but it reminded me too much of a Honda Civic with no muffler. The sound did not improve over time as far as I can tell.
Sorry if that's bad news for you. It's just my opinion but may be what you're going for.

This system is not technically street legal because the exhaust exits underneath the vehicle. All exhaust systems on normal passenger vehicles must exit out the side or rear of the vehicle, and behind behind the front doors. (The SLR McLaren Mercedes is an exception to this regulation).
If I went to an inspection station in NJ with this exhaust, I would fail.

The system seems awesome though. I want to cut my tail pipe off so bad because it looks like shit and hangs up on things while off roading. Maybe after I get it inspected again, I'll do it.

This exhaust is completely legal in TX because it exits well past the passenger compartment.

It definitely resonates rather loud in the cab on highway with higher RPM's, especially down shifting on hill climbs It's tolerable but louder than my previous Banks exhaust.

Well after some time now, I'm actually annoyed with the resonating sound in the cab at higher RPM's. We have tons of hills/mountain climbs here in Hawaii so I hear this exhaust a bit too much in my cab. I'm ready for a different setup now.
