i dont know many options that allow the tailgate down/if at all without removing the Moto. That would need to be a pretty heavy duty mount swingout. Like you said MTB mike should be easy. You will hav a pretty open bed (pending gear)

Can't wait to see more of these setup on other rigs. Roaming Lost has a nice setup but thats all we have really seen besides the development tacoma. Looks like they are doing a bunch of prep work before they start collecting payments and doing more design. Maybe some tricks up their sleeves too based on feedback.

Spencer was pretty responsive but has been pretty silent the past couple weeks with any questions I had.

Thanks to whoever started this thread. I put down my deposit mid August. Spencer and the team have been less responsive as of the last couple weeks so reading all the updates here has been awesome.

Nice! Yah it’s been our source of truth for now. A couple folks are local. I did email Cindy she’s a bit more responsive. She told me end November is likely for me. Original est date was 11/5. As of now looks like 1 month delay from original plan

I've been in contact with the three main vendors out there about their racks. I have a Joe Hauler right now.

Switch Hauler - https://www.alljackedupinc.com/108-321-details - with moto rack down there is just slight contact with the tailgate handle when the tailgate is lowered. I may be able to cut part of it out so it clears. Are there aftermarket tailgate handles? I'm going to try and check a switch hauler out in person once they get some in stock at their warehouse.
Ultimate MX - https://mojomotosport.com/collectio...imate-mx-hauler-yamaha?variant=35312771661988 - they responded saying their rack would clear the tailgate with a 2" drop adaptor and the moto lowered.
RakAttach - they don't seem to have it on their site but they replied saying they do have a model that supports a 400lb weight limit for carrying a dirt bike. Need to email them back with questions and specs.

The RakAttach would work with both MTB and moto racks. The shortest adaptor I can find to use with Ultimate MX is an 8" extension. Both that and the RakAttach extend further out than I'd like, and I'm not stoked about having two hitch insertions - seems like this would create a lot of play even with the tighteners. The same 8" extension could probably space my existing Joe Hauler back far enough to put tailgate down anyways, and for $300-400 less. So I still have some things to look into.

I was originally quoted “late October “ but that seemed too good to be true. I’m in no real hurry but I have a Leer cap and Decked system I need to sell and am trying to plan installing a long range fuel tank (which is easier to do with the bed removed from what I’ve been told) before I head up there so hopefully there’s an update sooner than later.

I am in the same boat. I have a Leer shell/racks I need to sell. id prob keep the decked system if I had it. I have a DYI slide deal I made. Also need to swap in a new fuel pump and figure maybe do it the same time since I could pull the bed to make things easier. Also a couple other items. Mainly I want to sell the shell when it gets close.

Not me. I messaged them on IG today because they seem to be pretty active there. Josh replied and told me to email Cindy. No reply from Cindy yet.

Not sure if it would be helpful but maybe we can get a spreadsheet going on order date and order number to get an idea and see how long the wait is :notsure:

I got an email from Cindy on 9/29 where she “guesstimated” an install date for me mid-to-late November. I am #24 (from my invoice that I finally found) if that helps anyone gauge it.

Would love to see a spreadsheet of owners for timeline, as well as knowledge and future Accessories purposes

Im #38 based on mine and she told my probably early December. If they are even close to 1 every couple days thats somewhat likely. as @frenchee said we just need to see more than just Roaming lost, wanderlust and the Super Pacific showing us some pictures.

I need to see a 2nd gen with one to plan a few things out.

Hey all. Cindy replied this morning to my Friday email. I paid my deposit in late August, and was not given a build number as some have mentioned having on their invoices but here is what Cindy wrote me.

"The launch for the X-1 Switchback exceeded expectations and, while this has been very exicitng, it has presented unplanned for delays in our supply chain. I have not gotten your order on the schedule as yet. At this time, I would guess a completion date after the Thanksgiving week. Once I have the schedule dialed in based on when our parts will be arriving, that is the time that I will be reaching for you to select your colors and pay your 50% installment payment. Delivery is running 6-8 weeks after payment and we can coordinate your actual installation date based on your travel availability."

I was originally quoted an estimated pick up of "late October," so they do seem to be about a month behind at this point as @nudavinci64 has previously mentioned.

    Bummer they're behind but understandable.

There's a new instagram post as well as additional powder coat options up on the website. Also removed the switch integration from the upgrades section.

I wonder why they removed the switch pro Integration? I assumed that’s what you meant. I was asking wanderlust overland but they ghosted me. figure it’s still easy to add if one wants it. I liked the idea of a Slave panel for mine.
