The Tacoma TRD Off Road 4X4 is stock since it only has 20,000+ on it now. We did install the Active Suspension System to assist with the X1.

Anyone here have one with a second gen installed yet? Curious as to what the tailgate seal looks like.

Hey has anyone seen any pictures of the inside of the X1 when it's all folded up? I'd love to get a visual on what the bottom of the tent looks like when put away.

    New here. Have a X1 on a 2nd Gen (5 foot).

By popular demand, wanted to share some photos about the tailgate seal.

I believe the 5ft model was measured off the 3rd Gen, and due to the difference in width of the 2nd & 3rd Gen tailgates, there's a gap. Spencer promised he's working on a solution.

Just returned from a week long trip from Southern California -> Denver and back. Good amount of dust entered the bed in the desert and cold inside at night. Another big issue (my biggest concern) is not being able to lock the truck bed.

Looking forward to fix from Super Pacific. Going to use a pool noodle in the meantime.

Well this does not look good for us 2nd gen folks

you didn’t notice the gap when you had it installed? That just seems way to obvious. What’s up with the ha going meter shelf seal?

Can you snag some photos or even better get some measurements of the gap from tent to cab roof? A few of us trying to figure out some racks or modifying our current ones. so far your the only SB 2nd that I know of. need to see where it comes to and how much room for some ideas I have.

    fuck.

Sorry @ShaggyPA that really sucks! So disappointing, on a pretty popular gen and size, that should have been an easy measurement to get. I’d not be having that on my truck, that would drive me nuts. I think someone saw this gap in a photo earlier? (@nudavinci64 @frenchee ??)

Is there that big of a difference between 2nd and 3rd gen beds? I figured a 5’ bed is gonna pretty similar in length maybe a little different but not 3-4”.

Kinda liking the Super Pacific setup to replace my Diamondback + bedrack + ikamper setup. Too much water and dust get under the diamondback.

The interior dimensions are the same. The 3rd gen tailgate is quite a big bigger and curves out in the center.

I’m honestly surprised that SP let the 2nd gen leave the production facility with a gap like that. I doesn’t even appear that the corner of the truck and the canopy line up well??

Dang thats a huge gap and i am
Also running a relentless tailgate reinforcement on my second gen. Mines even lower with this. This is for sure a concern. Thanks @ShaggyPA for posting some pictures!

Have you discussed the relentless tailgate with Spencer? I am in the same boat.

nope, didn't think it would be an issue. I talked about the bed cap rails as i want to replace mine. Only cause i don't like the plastic and is another entry point for dust. But given the tailgate issue thats kind of irrelevant. We talked a couple months back had a couple emails then nothing since.

I can’t recall who saw it but someone did note it looked to hang off. I expect they will rectify it but still surprised it was not noticed.
