I would guess it may be limited due to the air quality up there. I know some other shops were noted as being closed. they did post picture of an X1 in all white frame today which is new.

Yes they are producing some.. I seen some in progress when I was there. They installed one last week. There are 4 in the wild according to Spencer. He said he will post some more pix soon. I was sent a sneak peek pix of another Taco that has the camper from a person that knows Spencer but I will wait til they post it up.

Had not really thought about it. Have there been issues with people cracking the plastic or not getting a good seal? I have not had any issues in 7-8 years with my current shell so never thought about it. its another added expense so curious if its needed or not. Also depending if it adds more weight or not. If not and there is good reason I would consider it.

main issue is a seal and some cracking. A lot of 2gen owners getting the drifter And or other camper shells upgraded there side rails and tape up all the holes Seems to be common. They are cheap plastic rails over time they collapse and do break. I broke a set when i had a dimondback cover upgraded to steel from relentless fixed my problem. When i decided to get a shell had to go back to the plastic cause snug top and others have a overhang which wouldn’t let me use the metal side rails i had. 3gen dont have this problem as they redesigned the rails.

do you need too no just something i been looking into from experience

I just realized that the X1 doesn't (yet, anyway) come with a third brake light installed after seeing Roaming Lost share an install of one from Baja Designs. Install to the rear extrusion or drilling the rear door should be straight forward to install one.

Anyone here have any specific suggestions for a light or is the Baja Design one a pretty solid option?

I saw that too. I never realized that. I was not aware any of them have it. The Baja ones seems to be nice. Its pricey though. They have I think 2 options.

Yeah, pretty much every other camper of this style that I've seen has a third brake light.

Something like this one from Grainger is a lot more cost effective. You would have to drill the aluminum but with some silicon to seal it would be a clean install.

Yep, and they are really hard to get in touch with. It's a one man show doing customer service and sales so I got him on the phone once but can't get an invoice out of them to send him money.
