Bought new wheels and tires from Extreme Terrain. From my basic research on how big I can on a stock Tacoma was 265 70 17 without any rubbing. At checkout no modifications were required for this setup.
I can’t make a turn during a dip from going up or down a drive up or entering a lot etc.
Can someone please help me on what I should do that won’t cost me over $500? Whether it’s to trim plastic or putting a lift kit or a leveling kit. thanks

Take the mud flaps off, see where its rubbing and start trimming. Lifting/leveling will help a little during normal driving conditions, once the suspension compresses you'll be back to rubbing.

I bet you got a wheel with a negative offset. I ran into the same issue and was under the impression that size fit with no lift...but it really depends on the wheel.

Bone stock aside from tires? Probably the mud flaps.

Are the new and old wheels the same offset?

A wheel alignment will help a lot, 265 70 17 isn’t a big tire. Get them to move the wheel forward.

How different are the new wheel specs from OE?

Guessing that's where the problem is.

My stock wheels were 245 75 16 no offset

    New wheel set up 265 70 17 -6 offset

I don’t have any mud flaps.

Something does not add up. You sure on specs? -6 should not rub.

I rubbed hard with -10, can easily see how -6 would rub too.

Your stock wheels were +30 offset

-6 offset is almost an inch and a half further out

That is why you are rubbing

Aaah. 0 to -6 is a bit different than +30 to -6. Yep. They will rub lol.

If it's rubbing on the back of the wheel well, get an alignment with extra caster (will push your wheel forward).
