stock for now, 5100'a all around with 885 coils and 2' aal in rear, light racing uca's and m/t sidebiter wheels 16x8, and nitto terra grapplers 285/75/16 in the spring
I know there are a million tire and wheel questions on here but havent really found a good answer to my situation. I am getting new tires and wheels for my 10' tacoma 4x4 trd sport. I have chosen the ballistic wizard rims in black 17x9 and goodyear silent armour tires 265/70/17. My question is i have 3 offset options to choose from, 0, +12, and +25. i figure the +25 is like a 6" backspace on that one, so no go there. As far as the other two, one says its a 5" backspace and the other says its a 5.5" backspace, so will either of these work and how much farther will one stick out more than the other? sorry for the long post, just want to get some good info from u guys. thanks a lot.

The 0 offset is the 5" backspaced for a 9" rim. With 265s, you can get away with anywhere between 4.5-5.5" bs.

However, I would check the tire manufactures website t see if the 265/70/17s are approved for use on a 9" rim. My guess is that they are not.

that was one of the tire package options, so i would assume that they will, but i will ask just to be sure. they had a list of tires of that size to sell with the rims and that's the tire i picked....but thanks for the heads up.

actually just looked, and the goodyear website says 7 to 9 inch rim on that size tire..so good to go there. now just which one to choose.which one would stick out the farthest, i would like it to be somewhere right at the fenders or just past, not real far past if u know what i mean...thanks

The 9" rims with 5" BS will stick out 2.5" further than your stock wheels did.
