A follow up question - I've seen the term "wheel spacers" before, but never seen the real article. What are they, exactly? A shim between the hub and the wheel? If so, do they require longer lugs? Finally, what problem do they solve?

    Thanks

depends on how big the "spacer"

true wheel spacers should be "hub specific" meaning the load is on the hub and not "Bolt specific" having the load on the lug nuts. they range from .75" to 2"+

    wheel spacers (hub specific):

those are the Limited 18" wheels. stock size is 265/60-18 and no spacers needed. If you bump a size in tire you may have rubbing issues on the control arm.

And I'm mostly positive toyota 6 lugs are all 6 x 5.5 (except maybe the cars).
X2. The wider tires on mine hit the UCA. Got lug centric ones first..nope, had the shakes so I got the hub centric.
