Hello everyone. I'm waiting for my 3" OME kit with dakars to arrive from fed ex for my 2005 DCSB tacoma!! :). I was wondering what uall thought about stock wheels versus aftermarket? Im afraid that if I stay stock I won't be able to get a big enough tire without rubbing my UCA's. What do uall think about the fuel wheels? I'm looking at the fuel cranks. Any thoughts on these wheels? If I go with 17x9 with a 4.5 bs & -12 os will they fit my trk? Will I end up doing a lot of trimming? This is my first lift with bigger tires so forgive me if these are dumb questions as I'm a beginner--gotta start somewhere tho!! :). Thanks & have a good day.

Also I have read a lot of different threads trying to awnser my original questions but I'm confused.... What are the hub measurements on our trucks? 106.4 bore? Lug pattern- 6 on 5.5 or 135mm or 139mm?
Any input would really help me decide what wheels to buy. Thanks.

Dunno the bore but I'm pretty sure pattern is 6x139

Check out fn wheels. I had the ome 885 coils on a 2014 taco n used the "6 gun" offered by fn wheels. If you get a wheel with its specs you'll b good. I had very minimal trimming.

Thanks jimbo331. I'm waiting on 885 coils as well. Did u use spacers with yours? Those wheels have a 4.5 bs & 0 os, did they increase ur stance or were ur wheels still tucked in the fender?

You have to decide if you are going to be driving off road a lot . I dont suggest aftermarket rims that cause the tire to stick out of the wheel well if you plan to run dirt roads all the time . Although it looks great ,Your paint job will hate you for doing this and steering components will wear quicker . Removing the mud flaps gives the truck a lifted look but consider the paint if you plan to off road .
If I had to do it again , my first choice would be a hub centric aftermarket rim rather than a lug centric aftermarket rim .
Keep in mind that Toyota says we need to rotate our tires every 5k using the Haweka adapter and road force balanced

Ok thanks. I don't do a lot of four wheelin, just like to get up in the mountains. So if the wheels I'm interested in come in 2 different specs, which one would fit better?
    They are 17x9 ( don't have a 16" wheel in this design). The lug pattern is 6 x 5.5 (& 6 x 135), with a 106.4 bore. It is available with 2 different offset combinations:
    1-- 4.5 bs with a -12 os
    2-- 5 bs with a +1 os
If I'm understanding all the great info that I have found on here, they should both fit-right? The 1st option will give me a wider stance but more chance of rubbing & trimming where as the 2nd option should stay tucked in a little bit more. Granite, I believe my truck stock has a +30 os, so the 2nd option will still have a wider stance than stock--correct?? Or would I be better just to try & stay with a 16" wheel?

I just found out that there is a 3rd offset combination in this wheel.

    3-- 5.75 bs with a +20 os.
Still a 17x9 wheel. Will any of these 3 fit & if so which one would uall suggest for minimal trimming & minimal off-roading. Or like stated above-try to find a 16" wheel? Sorry, but thanks for all the help!! :)

If u are going 17x9 I would get the 4.5 bs. My tires on that truck are 11.5 wide with that spec of rim and I had about .5-.75 inches from the tire to my uca. U use more backspace on a 17x9 and u are putting that tire even closer to ur uca

Thanks again jimbo331. :) So ur thinkin the option (1) with 4.5 bs & -12 os would be the best fit for my application? 885 coils w/top plate spacers for hopefully 3" of lift in front.

I didn't use the top plates on mine the 885s were enough on their own. If u use both know that ur cv angles are gonna start getting pretty severe and u will probably need a diff drop. Also it's a pretty common occurance that once u are at 3" and above on lift that you might have growling issues with your cv bearings I think it is. There is a common fix that a lot of people do on here although I can't remember what it is. U can search it ur someone else might chime in here.

So if I go with the fuel wheel, 17x9 with 6-5.5 lug pattern, 106.4 bore, & 4.5 bs / 12 os---- Will they fit? Will I need anything else other than new lug nuts?
If I go with a 275/70/17 tire on them will I rub on anything with a 3" lift ( UCA's, wheel well, fenders )?
