after much debate over wheel and tire brands and sizing, also through numerous browsing to see what everybody else has on their truck, i finally ordered me a set of wheels/tires from discount tire. (they made me a deal i couldnt refuse, also $200 worth of rebates at this time ((sale ends on 3/27))

American Racing ATX Crawl 18x8.5 +15offset and Cooper Zeon ATZ 285/60/18. i'm excited and can't wait to get them on my truck. :yay:

You will just be having some rubbing on your frame, UCAs, and maybe the fenders.

so i crawled up under the truck and it appears as if that UCA could be an issue.

how can i avoid hitting the UCA?, do you think the 275/60 will clear the UCA? i figured with the 23mm difference in offset between the 2 wheels would allow for a wider tire, but i guess i didn't think about the height being a factor.

se7en's wheels are a -12mm offset so yours are going towards the uca. I think they will fit but it's gonna be VERY close!

as i go back and look i missed that (-)and the (+) and that makes a big difference. so what would eliminate the issues i may experience?, a skinnier tire or a shorter one? (avoiding use of a spacer)

Hayden, you just inadvertently answered a question I've been searching for all day. I really like se7en's wheel/tire combo but didn't know if I could fix a potential UCA rubbing issue with the TC UCA I have on order. Thanks! :D

i finally got down to DiscountTire and got my wheels/tires put on. there was some concern about rubbing on the UCA but when the tires were mounted it actually is further away from the UCA than the stockers were.
