Haha you'll love it man...all the benefits of 285's, without as much hassle as putting on 33's. Front end leveling is next up on my list!

You used the same size wheels I am gonna use too. Just a different brand...I'm going with Black Rhino Ocotillo's, 18x9 -12mm.

I used to want chrome ones, changed my mind after seeing the transformation of Krookz's build. Black ones just look sooo awesome. I think black will work pretty good on your color.

I love those rims but I am bias lol

You must have gotten -12mm offset version as mine doesn't stick out that far and I have +18mm

HUGE improvement, looks terrifc!! Good choice in wheel.

Thanks for not running the center caps as it makes the wheels look 10X better and a lot more aggressive, imo of course.

Yup -12 offset. I would have got with a positive offset if I was gonna do 265's like you do, but I knew I had to go for the -12's to get 285's to go.

    Hey Zack, hello Tacoma world!
I know this is a old old thread, but I would really like to get the same tire/wheel setup on my taco.
I have not lifted 06 tacoma prerunner 4 door long bed
And I really don't want to lift it.
So I was hoping to get couple questions answered before I spend good chunk of money and find out its not the right ones or it won't fit.
Do you still have those wheels ? Any problems since ? Have you ever hauled anything in the back and found your tires rubbing ?
Could you be be kind enough to find exact set up on eBay and post the link the link you have posted shows bunch of different combos.
Also might be able to get decent discount @4wheel parts please see the attached photo below and tell me if that's the correct set up.
    Thanks in advance!

No shot your fitting the 285's on a stock height truck. The thread was from a couple years ago the the links arent goina work at all. Your goina need atleast a 3" lift to sit the 285's unless your wanting to trim a lot.

Hey man yeah this was quite an old thread haha. I actually did have these on my stock height truck and they did work. I sold this truck to my dad a while back and he ended up putting a 6 inch lift on so he sold those and put new wheels and 34s on it.

But, the 285/60/18 will fit on stock height, you just have to get the right offset wheels and you do have to trim a bit if plastic. I did it using big scissors and a normal Dremel tool though, took about 5 mins. The back never rubbed even with a ton of stuff in the bed. I used to haul a boat with stuff all in the bed and 5 people in the cab with that setup and never had any issues. At full lock sometimes on weird gradients I could get an ever so slight rub in the front, but it never really caused any issues.

I will try and see if I can find the setup I ordered if the same seller on ebay is stop around
