Around here we've got sand on the roads for half the year and a lot of rocks get kicked up, so I always check to make sure I've got glass coverage for zero deductible to repair when possible and replace when not.

I’m a tech for Safelite that does replacements. I wil say if you can pay the extra money every month for a $0/$100 deductible through your insurance I’d say do it. Because with replacements not only does insurance pick up that tab for the windshield but, in theory they will cover the recal costs too. Can’t tell you how many people have made claims to get it replaced with $1k deductible. A lot of the time it’s a BMW or Mercedes with all these attachments on the windshield that cost $1k-$1500. If you can afford it do it lol. Cause it can be an expensive rock haha

I got s crack within three days of buying my new taco. My insurance covers it and I actually made $175 cash setting it up myself. They used the OEM Pilkington as well. It’s like $10 more a month for the glass coverage.. everyone should have it.
