I will def get some dif pics soon. Been down for the count with the whole hernia surgery bs. If not for the surgery i would have never attempted the btlm. Looking back I would have just bought new ones. Way too much work. Although I'm pretty happy with the results.

sweet. i was hoping to get a few knowledgeable people to help when i purchase my new lift. just don't trust the spacer lift(before i discovered tw) with wheelin it. its not that i dont trust myself to do it, its just that im a plumber who got caught up in this military thing. im pretty mechanically inclined but stuff takes me a little while to do by myself as im extremely cautious as to not to harm to myself. haha

Yeah man. We put lifts on all the time and definitely a good idea to ditch the spacers. I actually have some bilstein 5100's ordered that I'll be putting on soon.

I just used a dremel with a thin cutting wheel to cut. I used a flathead about every 5-6 inches to pry(lightly!!) to make sure the plastic didn't melt back together. It would be about 1,000 times easier if you have someone to help hold it. Just take your time. Once apart I taped off the led section because I couldn't figure out how to remove the clear plastic part. You'll see what I mean when it's apart. I taped off the reflectors/turn/reverse lights and sprayed. I tried plastidip but it kept tearing when dry so I ended up using some flat black paint. I used lock tite plastic epoxy to put back together after sanding the surfaces smooth for a good fit. Then I used clear silicone on top of that. Just don't forget that you will need to tape off and paint where you cut off on the outside of the lens. I just taped off and sanded and painted with the same paint as inside. Been about a month now with no leaks/fogging. The main thing is to just take your time. Don't cut deeper than you need to. But if you do, it will just mean more cover up on the outside, not a big deal. I cut so I could see from the outside what I was doing. And be extremely careful of the edge of the clear lens. You will see it after if you gouge it. Which you can just fill with epoxy and sand down. If you have any questions or want close up pics just ask. Good luck.
