Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself and learn a little more about these trucks before I pick on up. I'm 100% sure I'm picking up a double cab 4x4 after I return back to the states from deployment this mid-summer. I've owned a '05 X-runner before but came across a trade I couldn't pass up. Now, that I've been doing a lot more home projects, outdoor activities, and purchasing a new home in the very near future.

I'm still in between the short bed or "long"/regular bed but since I always love parking in my garage, I think I'm leaning more towards the short bed. However, I love the stance of the long bed lifted. I do plan on doing a moderate lift (2.5"-3").

Hopefully you guys won't mind me asking questions and picking your brains.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm currently in another training course but I'm stationed at Norfolk, VA onboard USS Laboon DDG58.

I've been on here surfing member's photo galleries to get a better idea of what I may want. Are there any main differences in the years? Mechanically that is? I'm known as a "car-whore" and change out my vehicles left and right. However, I'm set on getting a taco and keeping it. I could always pick up side projects but I need and want a mid-sized truck.

Welcome to TW and thanks for your service. As for didfference in the years i think there is only small changes like cup holder liners and other little things but i could be wrong.
