Hey there I have a completely stock 2019 dcsb OR

I was day dreaming about lifts thinking “that will get me anywhere”. Then I went to price out coil overs, shocks, diff drops etc. You’re looking at 3k+. What’s your advice on, what you realistically need to get through most “situations” if you’re not doing anything hardcore gnarly. Do I need the 3k lift eventually? Cause that’s a pretty penny.

Depends on your definition of hardcore and gnarly? Buy once cry once... :notsure:

Not trying to sound like a dick, but its a rabbit hole...go do what you want till you need to upgrade. Trucks are very capable stock, and you will find what things you want to fix/upgrade.

Welcome to the forum. If I were you I’d play with it stock for awhile before spending that kind of cash. Then if you find it’s performance lacking do your homework before you pull the trigger.

+1 On keep it stock for now. You got an off-road so even left stock it will get you out of trouble very reliably with all the off road features. Test and learn about it’s capabilities in stock configuration first for a while, then decide what your needs might be from there.

I’m guessing that 90% of the time the only thing that will hold you back during any, er.. “situations” will be your stock tires.

Get better tires, recovery gear, and a friend who can pull you out of ditches.

Keep it stock, upgrade tires. Do some wheeling and see how things go.

All depends on how serious you plan to take the truck off-road whether you need that lift, and bigger tires. Trust me these trucks are capable enough if left stock for average conditions you'll face. Imo, the truck operates fine as is. My buddy went into this 3'' lift bs, and big ass aggressive tires on his 2019 trd or just to impress bystanders at the local malls. He ended up with a truck that had bad vibrations, and poor performance not to mention poor fuel economy to.

If you are concerned about the cost of the lift alone, I would stay the hell away from anything "hardcore gnarly". Don't take your new truck there unless you like body and suspension repairs. You don't really need a lift to enjoy most off-road adventures.

After being on this site for 10 minutes, you will want to add so many mods your wallet will cry and credit cards wilt just thinking about it. The only prob is the price of almost everything you wish to do, inflation sucks. I was looking at upgrading to bronze rims about 1.5 years ago and didn't pull the trigger. Now they are about $125 each, more expensive. Same with many other hardware additions. I'm stock, content to wait and may never upgrade but when you see what others have done, you get the "itch".
