Hi all! My new Tacoma started being built March 10. It should get to me in a few weeks. It's the TRD off-road in spruce mica. I sprung for the JBL system with Nav. I hope it's worth it! I am getting a few extras ie: Beadlock style wheels, hood protector, trd air filter, weathertech floor mats, a lid, and an exhaust tip. I'm not really sure what else to do. I don't know to much about lifts. I live in Utah so I will be in the desert and the mountains as much as possible. I would love to hear some of your suggestions. It's my first Tacoma i'm still a noob.
    Thanks! :D

BTW.. I paid 37,500 OTD for a build. Is that a good deal? I felt it was, but you never know.

No idea if it was a good deal, but sounds like an awesome truck. Spruce Mica is my absolute favorite taco color.

    Good luck!

Sounds like a sick rig. That color is pretty awesome. Congrats. People here will tell you that you probably could have sqeezed a few extra bucks on the deal, but as long as your happy with it I wouldn't even pay it any mind.

The only other thing that is super handy is the rubber bed mat. You should ask them to throw one in.

As for lifts, I can't help you but there are plenty of threads that you could search for to get you started.

    Also, update with pics.

Congrats man! The jbl is worth it I have it and I love how it sounds. As for lift go for icon shocks front and rear and call it Good.

Just to be clear it was 37,500 with all the extras I listed at the top. Except the lid. I couldn't get them any lower. And I talked to every dealership in town.

    to the OP:

I just got a spruce as well. had to go 1100 miles away to get it, and drive it home. got a TRD sport 4x4 long bed. love it. sadly, did not get JBL, wish I did. got most of the additions you did, but for the beadlock wheels.

i would have ordered, but i just did not trust any of the dealerships down here about the "build," they seemed suspect if it would ever even happen.

I hope yours does come in a "few weeks," I was warned that it might take 2 months.

As for price, I think you did good. Mine was $33606 plus TTL, and with the $2k beadlocks and the additional $1200 JBL, sounds like you did great. While mine was a DCLB, sounds like you made out just right in price.

Oh, the options I got was TRD exhaust, tacoma all weather floormats, front skid plate, VIP alarm, bed mat, and the black side steps. My bad, forgot to add all those. Those made the price 35508 plus TTL. The additional $1902 was for the exhaust, steps, skid and alarm installed. I paid $200 cash for the mats and bed mat.

That sounds sweet! I got the VIP as well. It has taken around 2 months from the day I ordered. They started building it on the 10th. They say it takes about a week to build it. I will know next week when exactly it will get here. It has been an exercise in patience. But I couldn't find one even close to the one I ordered in Utah or Idaho. Not a single dealership in Utah had a Tacoma in spruce mica. I cant understand why..

Agreed. Seems to be the rarest of colors. I think i could only find about 5 in california, and none were DCLB Sport. People (my fiance) thought I was crazy to go so far for the truck, but i am glad I did.

Personally, i would take the fake beadlocks of the order. IDK how much the option is, but i promise you can get better wheels aftermarket for lets say… half the price

    Some stuff...
Congrats on your purchase and welcome!

You will love your rig when you get it! As MGMTacolover55 said I would go with a good, quality lift as your first major mod. IMO, a quality lift is the pinnacle and basis for all other mods. I just ordered the full ICON lift (over $3K) and can't wait to get it installed. :bananadance:

As for price, I paid $32,200 or so OTD for my rig with the Costco discount which was a custom order MG DC OR Manual with $2k in accessories (TRD cat-back exhaust, short throw, tube steps, bug protector, wheel locks, etc.). $37K just seems kinda high to me, but my rig is a 2013.

Congratulations. Nice color. You will love your truck but watch the wallet. This site is addictive. Do your research and do your mods right the first time. Suspension/lift is the best place to start.

The truck is still not here! lol! I'm going a bit crazy.. It was built in Baja. It was in "freight" status for a week and a half. Now its in "port" whatever that means. I was told it would be here by yesterday. Now they are saying its going to be another week.

BTW. I bought a Master tech 8 year 125,000 mile warranty. For 2100$ Is that a bad deal?
