    Hey yall,
Got a bit of a newbie question and will probably catch some flack on the choice for now but im planning on upgrading down the road after i nail down some more freelance projects. I know theres other forums about suspension but the relevant ones ive found have so many pages in them itd take days for me to sift through it all.

Ive got a 2015 TRD OR Double Cab + ARE Fiberglass topper (200lbs or so), w 4runner trail wheels and Bridgestone dueller HTs.

I recently installed the 2018 TRD off road front coilovers, and rear shocks onto my 2015 tacoma on a saturday with no issues, alignment is probably a bit off but wanted to wait to get that done for the next couple questions.
This change gave me about 1" lift in the front, basically leveling it out, and much smoother ride.

I'm looking to add a couple inches all around so that I can fit some 285s with light/minimal trimming.

Question 1: Ive recently purchased the Headstrong AAL, with the overload leaf should raise the rear 2" (might settle a bit) and then also got some 1.5" rear blocks w extended ubolts. This should bring it to 3.5" rear lift right away and then settle a bit down to 3.25 or 3".
Through some more research its looking like I need some extended length/travel shocks for that correct? or is it possible to keep those stock billies on there? seems like a dumb question but want to confirm.
If not would those Bilstein 1500s that are 'extended travel' i think its different part number than just the regulare 1500s for tacos, if those would do the trick or OME better option? Or headstrong also has some MaxTrax options that are for a 2-3" block lift but I havent heard as much about maxtrax. Also it suggests different bumpstops too.

Second question: Ive seen some posts about 3" front lifts pushing the stock UCA's to the limits of alignment getting into spec, but ive also seen some that can do it and ppl are saying they have no issues.
Wondering if my 1" lift from 2018 TRDOR front coilovers over my stock ones, PLUS the 1" top plate spacer is going to push me to the edge of that 3" limit, due to the top plate spacer lift is essentially twice the height of that spacer? or if because I only added 2" actual inches of parts, I should be okay with keeping the stock UCA's for the time being while saving up for some TC UCA's or something similar.

Ultimate goal is to have about 3" of lift all around. Wondering if I'm trying to get to cutesie with it and gonna end up having to take it all off and waiting for the UCA's, or if its just gonna be a shitshow the way Ive done it?

Let me know if im being a total tard with this setup or if its mild enough not to worry about it so much.

Your setup looks exactly like what i'm going for. And from one of your posts sounds like you have the same wheel size (17in 4R Trail wheels) i have and tire size im looking to move to also. Would you recommend the JBA's you went with? I think this is them? They look to be a couple hundred$ cheaper than the Total Chaos ones I was looking at and im not going to be doing any heavy beating on it. Thanks!

Actually, im lookin through some of the other threads, looks like most people are between camburg TC and JBA. And I think the Toytec 3" coilover setup might just be what I need to do it right

I really like the Toytec coilovers(preassembled) just bolt them in. Th jba ucas come with 2* of built caster so getting the alignment where i wanted was zero issue.

Here a pic of my front set up. I’d go with the jba’s from a serviceability standpoint super easy. 1BE7FD07-388A-40E6-90EF-DA2AB733DAB9.jpg

Love that, and sounds like theyve had them out for a while and worked out any kinks that the early versions had too. Thanks for the adivce, I think ill be picking up those UCA's first, and then soon after ill be grabbing those toytec coilovers.
