Guys and gals, I’m new here and new to the 3rd Gen Tacoma. I am having an issue and couldn’t find good info in the search. So bear with me.
I have tail lights and brake lights so it doesnt seem to be a fuse issue. I do not see any cuts or nicks in the wiring and haven’t added any components to the truck since I bought it used.
My tag lights don’t work. Other than bulb, which i will check on today, what else could it be? Where do I start that is simple for the non mechanical types?
Thanks for your help and the inevitable smart comments that will follow! :)

OP- I’m assuming you’re referring to the rear license plate lights? If so, check bulbs first. Are there any aftermarket electrical upgrades to the truck? People have issues running aftermarket electrical components(our ECMs hate any fluctuation in signal strength).

    Have you checked the FSM?

Yeah, definitely check the bulb. Could also be a loose connection somewhere. Maybe even some corrosion but that's less likely.
Also, if you have a multi-tester check for voltage if the bulb appears to be OK.
