Newbie suspension help!?

    Ok, so i have a 07 dc short bed. I want to fit some pretty meaty a/t 32's. My truck measures 34 3/4 in the front and 36 in the non tsb rear. I would like to try and stay around $400 for the suspension. Should i just do 5100's? Toytec spacers and aal with stock coils and springs? I know jeeps well but trying to learn on the taco's. I have read a ton of threads on here but would like to know about mine specifically(given it is a dc and doesnt have the tsb leaves).

    I forgot to mention i have 1st gen wheels that will stick out 3/4 more than my wheels that i have on now.

    Welcome to the T-Dub, and yes, the suspension set up you mentioned is a very good one. I ran that set up, minus the spacers, and no regrets. You can run those 32" tires without the lift and be good as well. Good luck

    depends on what you want it for.. off roading? mall crawling? if its just for looks a spacer lift is cheap and will do what you want.

    Ill be doing some offroading but nothing major. So the 5100's and aal will be ok for that?

    Stick with stock coils? What setting should I have the shocks at if I'm going to do aal as well?

    Had mine at 2.5"(highest setting) with an aal and looked great

    Did you have the tsb leaf packs? What size aal? Did it ride ok with stock coils and highest setting? Sorry for all the questions. Lol

    No TSB, had stock base model coils, and rode great.

    5100s, ome884s, wheelers aal kit, and some rustoleum
    wheelers has the progressive aal that is an additional 3 leaves to your pack. they said leave your overload in and get over 2" overload out sits 1 1/2".

    im with you on whether to upgrade coils or not. . . . whats another 160 bucks is kind of where im at

    You can't use your stock struts with after market coils. 5100's have been paired up with eibachs and OME's just fine.
