Hi, I'm probability an old timer here (44) but I would like to share my opinion on the 16 and my experience with Toyota's. I had a 95 Tacoma 4x4 v6 for almost 10 years and loved it. I was forced to sell because I was starting a new business. I was very happy with what I got for it. I then got a sport 4.7 05 4 runner after the business loan was established and loved that as well. Then marriage and family came along and I was still racing quads so I got a 07 Tundra. Loved that as well. Then I made a huge mistake and bought a German sports sedan and sold the Tundra. Now I got my family a 4.7 4runner limited and I'm about to sell the Honda sedan I currently have and get a 16 Tacoma. As you can see I have gone full circle.

I'm impressed with the 2.75 generation. I wish they would have added disc brakes and a few other things but the resale and reliability of every Toyota/Lexus car I have owned is the main reason I'm going back to the Tacoma. I wish Toyota would work on the Tundra's mpg's but they sure blew that off when they did the update. So the Tacoma it is as long as the test ride goes well and after a few months so I can get a good deal. I won't pay retail for a new car/truck. Did Toyota blow us away with the 3rd generation? No, but they did enough for me to get one. Sorry, it's dead at work and I'm the boss so I rambled. I hope everyone has a good day!

I have to agree that while the new truck looks somewhat similar to the old truck, they seemed to have addressed almost all of the issues & complaints people had with the old truck, except for the drum brakes.
