Newbie to tacomaworld

I just bought my truck new about a month ago and I love it. A few years back I drove my dads 01 tacoma prerunner. I drove his truck for about a year after driving it knew I wanted one, I bought like two other cars knowing I wanted a tacoma (big mistake)but I finally bought my own taco. No doubt 4x4 trd . At first I couldn't decide on sport or off road but at end I got the off road and mainly I would have to say it's because of the beefier tires and the locker of course but either way I like both.
Since I'm new to this forum stuff I don't really know how to post pics but as soon as figure it out I'll post some .by the way I would like to see some trd pros I haven't really seen many since I been checking out this forum

 

I'm with you. I just bought my 2015 TRD OffRoad yesterday and I'm glad I finally did. Great truck, I went with the manual tranny.

Congrats on a great decision! On the truck and the forum. This is a great resource for anything Taco related: maintenance, modifications, BS, off-roading, streeting, whatever. They are super-helpful and friendly. I say they because I'm new myself.

Dude nice color on that truck I was almost gonna get that one but it was an auto so I went with the white one because it was manual

 

I know, If it wasn't for my dad I wouldn't be into tacomas

 

I was really glad they found the color I wanted. It came down from Northern California.

 

How familiar are you with tacoma trannys? It's a lot tuffer to drive than a small sports car a civic or celica for example. The first night it took me a while to put my truck on reverse lol

 

It took me a couple of times to remember that reverse is located upper left because it's a 6-speed. It's just like how Volvo used to do it. I really like the manual, it's not as bad in traffic as I anticipated because 2nd gear goes so smooth at low speeds. It's really geared for offroading as well.

Nice place, just drove by there in May took the fam to Legoland for sons 10th b day

 

Very cool. It's a great place but right now it's hot and humid, we're not used to this type of heat.
