Newbie to thread - looking

I’m looking forward to being part of the Tacoma World but I’m not an owner yet. I tried to post on the buy / sell / trade but don’t have 30 days in yet. The Tacoma is the perfect truck for Baja California and I’m planning to have lots of fun down here when I get it. Wish me luck in finding the right beauty!

South Dakota plates on a truck kept in Mexico. I live 3 miles from Reynosa, most people drive to the bridge and walk across because they know their car will be stolen if it has US plates.

 

It’s pretty common in Baja California Sur. Mainly because SD doesn’t require to maintain US insurance. If the car isn’t going to be driven in the US, I’d prefer not to pay for US insurance.

Looking for a TRD Pro. We tried to order a new one but no dealer is helping. Maybe because we can’t visit the dealership or maybe production has already switched to 2021. Used ones in the colors we want are hard to find and the Fuel pump recall scares me a bit. I’ve read pump problem happen more where it’s warm and it’s hot here.

 

The way I understand it the dealer's can't order from the factory
They get allocations. If you want something they weren't allocated they will get it from another dealer..and some dealerships are just lazy.

Most dealerships have low stockage now due to the plant shutdown.

You could do a search on CarGurus or cars.com but not all dealerships participate in that.

Thanks, we want the army green since we’re not fans of new Lunar Rock color. Tried Cars, truecar, cargurus, etc. Just may be out of luck on this one.

Thanks. Can’t do manual although I believe it’s favorable to true enthusiasts. Seems the green one on these website are out to snag people as invariably we’ve been told that it’s be sold. I started doing a VIN check before contacting because sometimes you can tell by that... and it is crazy how many used TRD Off Roads are being listed as Pros.
