Hello all! Been reading awhile, just now getting signed up. I have a '12 double cab, short bed, trd sport. All standard equipment on it right now. Going to be needing some new tires soon.

This truck is my daily driver. I do no off roading with it other then driving across fields and down logging roads when hunting. So 95%+ it is on road. However, I would like to give it a more aggressive look. I know I can get away with going up one tire size on the stock wheels without lifting (265/65/17 currently). I would like to take it up to a 275/70/17 on stocks wheels. Not sure how high I need to get the front to make that happen or sure what my best method is to get there. I know there are a lot of options, just trying to find the best one. Not opposed to spending cash, but don't see a reason to go top of the line either for my application.

Truck currently has a 1.75" rake. Looking at cooper at3 or st maxx.

Thanks in advance for you help and wisdom.

Welcome  I have 265/75/16's and did not need any leveling at all on the front end. Completely stock and fit nicely (did have to take off front mud flaps & trim some of the plastic in the wheel well).

    Welcome!

I run 265/70R17s General Grabber AT2s on my stock suspension/wheel '13 Sport. I paid $1000 installed to replace all 5 tires on the truck. They fit fine with no rubbing even at full lock. I think that a 275/70R17 might require a little trimming though.

Here's what my tires look like, just to give you an idea.
