He's making his decision this weekend, it's still Thursday. Cool ya jets :)

Even if it came without a brake light at all it would still be a good deal after the cost of getting a brand new one put in. 4x4 double cab. You have an incredible deal, take it. And get an extended warranty if you can. just in case anything pops up you didn't notice.

Everyone who would have been banned over it already has been.

I was a little off on time, but as of 11:00 this morning I own my first Tacoma. Yea!!! Oh, the best part is, the guy must have believed I was serious and he called me last night and said final price $25,200. I will post pics soon. Am I to take it there are some keyboard tough guys around here?

What? We don’t ever have THAT kind of behavior.

We’ll say shit to your face, too. :D

    Oh, and officially :worthless:

Congrats, welcome, and you’re going to love it. Ignore the haters of the third Gen...they’re just jealous.

What part of the country are you in? There are lots of local groups that meet regularly. Austin TX, for example, gets together monthly for breakfast tacos at the Cars and Coffee car show.

2016's are just like 2019's. No difference other than a sliding window and TSS and minor other things contrary to belief that a new truck has been born. There is a new part number for the rear brake light for early 2016 builds. Warranty should cover if it is leaking. Even some 2018's are leaking. Bad design imo., not specific to year.
Get the new tranny TSB and you will be set.
A few people had low tranny fluid levels in very early 16 and the myth has never died.
I have a 2016, solid truck, only issue was a battery in 2.5 years. And I read everything in here and know what to look at. I expect 250K + out of this one.

I too had my battery develop a bad cell after 2 years and 10 months. Toyota replaced it free under warranty. My Wife's 5 year old Corolla has the factory battery and still fires right up even in cold weather.

If you ar concerned about the light leaking, just run a bead of silicone along the top and edge and you’ll be golden

Hate the previous owner had to sell it because of hard times, but it sounds like you got a great deal. Congrats and welcome to TW!
