Just saw that in the AZ BS thread. I guess I'm illiterate and don't know what bypasses are.

 

expensive ass shocks... they have 2 external adjustable compression tubes and one rebound, (triple bypass) then an external reservoir.

they are around 800 bucks a piece (retail)

 

Wow that sucks. I remember seeing those shocks at a recent get together. That's crazy that someone took the time to rip those off.

honestly, i could take both off in about 5 min max. ill be drilling a hole through my bolt and putting a lock on them

I'll be ready at 8 for whoever wants to get an early start and get first dibs on the garage. There's room for 2 more in the driveway behind each other which leaves room on each side. My driveway is double width.

Does anyone have any lithium grease they can bring with? If not, I'll try to run out and get some tonight but I have a ton of stuff to do.

I said I have plastic dip you can use, just buy thin 3m double sided tape

 

"Servo" tape from a hobby store works better. Its black and thinner. Used for RC cars

 

I still dont know if I am going to come up for this. I didnt look at the address until today and thats almost a 3 hour trip for me. I am still tempted to come because I do need to adjust my suspension and I have to replace my fan shroud.

 

Seabass are you doing shocks and coils swap?
I will be there about 9 with the spring compressor unless someone needs it sooner. I have my large floor jack as well.
How many are needing the springs swapped?

So I'm excited about the road trip tomorrow. I don't think I'll be able to leave until 10AM from San Diego. Which means I won't get there until 4PM. I hope people are still around. I'm bringing a pop up tent just in case I'm still fortunate to work on my truck and not do it in the sun. Again, I'm wanting to install the mirror and connect my back-up camera. And should I get a hair up my butt, I'm bringing my lower grillcraft for the bumper.

 

Man that is a long trip.
I will be gone by then but hopefully the party is just getting going.

 

I am leaning towards not coming. 6 hours round trip just isnt doing it for me. I might just hold off for another weekend or try to do it myself this weekend.
