A truck only has two doors, any more and your just a fucking minivan driver with a bed.........a short useless bed at that!

 

I would assume MI would mean Michigan

 

What about a double cab long bed? I like hauling peoples as well as whatever I can put in the bed

Actually they do make trucks with four doors. They are all over the site. I actually have one too. Check some out they are really cool

It's a "mule".

Mules are designed to test all the parts they can ( drivetrain, electronics, etc) while using existing coach/bodyworks, albeit modified to fit the differences in fitting between the two internally.


In this case it's doing it's job beautifully. Had auto blog not said this wash mule to you, you would just think this is another Tacoma towing some stuff. The only thing we can tell from this is that either the frame for the new one hS almost identical dimension allowing for existing bodywork to be fitted with modifications OR they're only testing the engine and tranny for now and they retrofitted it into an existing frame.

It's because Toyota's engineering hub in the United States is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. But yes, all companies test vehicles in the desert, at altitude, etc.

 

At least it will come with a manual transmission!

Be careful with that. I have never owned a 4WD but I hear you must engage the 4WD every so often to keep it lubricated/working properly.

 

1. Looks like they are still trying to fix the whistling windshield.
2. Frame does not look like it has any special coating...
