Not in the least, paying attention to forum activity would've rendered that dead info for anyone many weeks ago. I have no idea why I'd be forced to repeat myself on this, when I already cleared that up almost 2 months ago, more than 6 weeks before reveal. Not only that, I was skeptical of the information in the first place, when it was first shared with me 6 months ago, via a (stupid) Toyota employee who got caught in a leak bait trap.

An ex-TW user named DJinTN and a litany of other Toyota sources also gave that information credibility, to kill my skepticism. Unlike most people on things Toyota, I go to the source (Toyota) and don't pull things out of thin air. I secondarily rely on Toyota affiliates, but not always.

If the Toyota source(s) want(s) to act in bad faith and push disinformation to derail my focus, not much I can do about it if I am unaware of their malintent, except to share it (maybe add a disclaimer). Anyone who missed my April 2, 2023 post on that debacle and clearing up things, I cannot really help them. I've done my part already.

I already voided such commentary (as quoted), in no longer being valid information and did my part in making a retraction on April 2nd. My credibility is untarnished, as I warned people to not expect a V6 and the old I4, upon getting confirmation otherwise back in March.

Prior to December 2022, I did not endorse/push anything of the sort (carryover engines) as accurate and dispersed the correct information of Dynamic Force powertrains only, which I expected TNGA-F products to be exclusively offered with, from when I leaked the target Model Year of 2024 back in February 2020. My post history backs that up and that is true with the model reveal.

If anyone is not keeping up with that and instead pulling up very old comments, it's not really something I need to be concerned over. Plenty of people saw that corrective post 8 weeks ago and corrected course themselves accordingly, to not expect those old ass engines under the hood anymore.

I never shy away from admitting being wrong (like many YouTubers), but since I already did virtually 2 months ago, this is old hat. For me, I am happy it is now public and I consider the 920B Tacoma a done subject and not much more to discuss until mid-cycle 2027. I won't touch on it anyway and look forward to the last of the midsize quartet, debuting next year.
