Personal opinion here but it seems crazy that the sandman k actually says that it will be $900 once the bill passes. I just can't see how suppressors could possibly cost that much to manufacture. Seems to me like price gouging

Price gouging? Come on. They can set whatever price they want. Either people will pay it or they won't. Supply and demand. Expect prices on all NFA items to go up if ever made legal to purchase without a tax stamp and wait.

There's a lot of research and development that goes into a good can, many, many hours of CAD with simulated (computer) run tests, and then there's the prototypes and fine tuning, final prototypes, and then finally production.
The materials aren't cheap, the man hours aren't cheap, the equipment is not cheap, yes suppressor companies make a good profit, however they need to do they can put their money into R&D and advancement of design for other cans, if a company is using their profit to advance whatever industry they are in then I have no problem paying a little more, that is how we get advancements in technology.

My personal opinion is when (if) the HPA passes then prices of cans will rise temporarily (1-2 years) because the supply will dry up, the established companies will be Doug their best to keep up with demand and new companies will be starting and there will be some poor/cheap cans on the market after HPA passes.
However in the long term I see prices of cans decreasing and at least 60% of firearm owners owning a suppressor or multiple suppressors.

For my first centerfire can I think it's a good decision, I'm sure in the future I'll get a dedicated .30 can and a dedicated pistol can, and possibly a 556 can (shorter/lighter) but for right now having a multi role can is worth the slight loss of decibel reduction.

I saw their layaway program, however it irks me that they charge %17 for the layaway, I'd rather save a little longer and buy it outright unless there's a potential change in legislation that would effect suppressor ownership/buying.

I don't see that happening with other NFA items such as SBR's or full auto stuff......Just my take on it.

Ive debated on dedicated cans but I dont have the fire power anymore to need dedicated cans. I wouldnt mind an optimus for all my long guns and if I buy a 10/22 takedown I'd use it on that too. I dont really need a can for my 9mm but wouldnt hurt to have one.

As far as the layaway program goes, it a little silly too charging the extra price but I can see why. Essentially, they are charging you full MSRP because now you have taken that can they couldve made money on quickly and are now holding up their profits for at least four months. You get a huge discount from Capital Armory and Silencer Shop because they can move them really fast for really cheap. Clog up the pipe and you'll pay for it.

Haha yea just a little. I here everyone talk about a tax stamp but did think it'd literally be a stamp. This makes me want it even more

So hopefully the SBR is cleared around Christmas and the Sandman-K around March(?). My brother in law wants to get a trust now and buy one too :D Ive been helping him get up to speed with the know how and where to get his trust. He's looking at either getting it from Capital Armory of Silencer Shop.

I did mine through Silencer Shop. Now they have kiosks at several gun stores near me since the rule change last year.

Love the kiosk! I used it for my Sandman K. They had all my trust info ready to go and I just signed and did the finger prints.
