I wanted the SliencerCo Omega but ended up going with MACK BROTHERS MB762L. Not as popular or have many reviews but seems to have great ratings from those who have it. Plus I couldn't resist the discount I got on it. Just happy I finally pulled the trigger. Been feeling accomplished all day lol.

Yes I haven't either. From I understand they do amazing machinery work and also do machinery work for Badger Ordnance to my knowledge. Im feeling pretty positive on my choice!

It's been 2 months so far just waiting to get the SN for my Auto Ordnance M1SBR - then I have to deal with the wait time for the stamp. Ugh.

Auto Ordnance is still in business - now owned by Kahr Arms - and produces various versions of the Thompson as they did before, during and after WWII. I've always loved the WWII M1 & M1A1 and collect MILSURPS - but don't even want to think about paying for an actual auto. So, I ordered the new-production semi-auto but they are back ordered. Hoping to have the SN within a week or so.

    What's form 1 and form 4?? :anonymous:

California born and raised now living in Texas. We're barely allowed to have guns in commie-fornia. :D

First you made a wise choice moving to the greatest country on Earth. Second, form 1 is the ability to "create" your own firearm. All this means is you are wanting to take a lower receiver that doesnt have an upper attached and turn it into am SBR or you have an AR pistol you want to convert to an SBR. You are legally not allowed to attach a stock to the pistol until the tax stamp comes back. Once you have the tax stamp you would then engrave your name or your trust with the city and state on the rifle. A form 4 is when you are wanting to buy an NFA item like a suppressor or an already built and legal SBR. This will require you to pay a $200 tax stamp like the form 1

So if I just wanted to purchase one, form 4 is me?

Also, do you have to file/pay for these forms for each say sbr you may want to purchase? Or is it a one time deal??

    SBR....anything under 16in barrel?? :anonymous:

The Auto Ordnance M1SBR I'm buying - pictured above - is classified as an SBR = Short Barreled Rifle = because of its barrel length so, even though it is a semi-automatic it requires a Form 4 submission and a Tax Stamp.

Yes if the SBR is already legal with the NFA then form 4. Honestly though, I would buy an AR pistol file the form 1 and then wait. You save a ton more money and its the same wait times. You would pay a $200 tax stamp for each NFA item.

The Stamp is associated with the SN of the weapon - you must process/pay for each one.

And wait times are upwards of 8 months?!? o_O

    Hell.

These forms must go thru Commie-fornia. They make you wait for everything. And pay for it too!

The Semi-automatic is irrelevant unless you are buying one from pre-1986 then you would still have to file a form 4. For those who dont know they banned fully automatic weapons in May of 1986 and you can not legally create a new one.

The wait times are so high because of July of 2016 they were making changes. Everyone got scared and filed a ton of forms. Silencer Shop I think sent in over 100,000 forms in one month. After they process July we should see a drop and then maybe a hold up in November because of the election. After that it should go back down to 3 months or so.
