So anyone have experience with Sig's Romeo 5 XDR? Just ordered it from Heart of Texas Armory for an awesome price way below what optics planet, midway, etc is even asking after a heafty discount from $299 msrp. If you send a message to the email on te contact us page, hell hook you up with a code for use on buying the xdr, it substantial, say, GB range. Got it for my SBR cause I'm getting used to the magpul gen 2's and need something new to co-witness with.

I read and was told not to give it out or give out my discount but I know I paid way under what it’s being sold for, damn good price. The dual retical was what I wanted and the XDR version provides that, plus now after doing some other testing with other sights, I think I’m gonna do 1/3rd co witness instead and keep the stock mount attached instead of installing the riser it comes with when it gets here. Oh and it’s 1-3 day USPS shipping, $7.95, so this deal isn’t like one of those ones that brings you in for a cheap price but gets you on shipping. I still don’t know how he’s getting such low prices. It could be just a quick discount thing for only the XDR for the time being. He didn’t give me an end date on code expiration either when I asked.

Like a dealer doing this? Or a guy? Could have industry deals. I get a lot of discounts on gunstuff through pro deals and industry deals.

Have a question, is the front lens on this Sig Romeo flat up against the inside of the shroud?

Do you mean a flat lens vs a curved lens? I have one being shipped here, I can answer your question when it gets here.

No, the lens on my 5 XDR was physically tilted internally within the case, it looks like it should when I compared to other stock photos but I actually just returned it for a new one because the 2moa dot was flaring and the 65moa circle was projecting a second circle within 2 mm of the other one causing it to look blurry.

Nah. Well i guess it depends? How good is griffins gas seal? Just keep carbon off of the cans threads and oil the locking collar (if yours has a locking ring).

I was more concerned about rust forming between the taper mount surfaces, after looking at the design however I feel like the finish is good enough to keep oxidation at bay.

Depends on the finish. Ours are melonite which and I’ve never had the issue but you live with significantly higher humidity so it’s a possibility but not a high one.

This finish seems to be similar to melonite/tenifer, yeah, thats the reason I was worried, constantly 80%+ humidity plus being stored muzzle up by the bed.
